Google Gaffer's tape. Used to tape down cables, cords, etc. Does not leave sticky residue on cables, carpet, etc. A bit more spendy but well worth it. I have used a lot of it over the years.

I used to have Audio/Visual equipment and provide conferences in major hotel and I agree with Gaffers tape. They are available at any audio/visual store like Guitar Center
i have used Gaffers Tape for over 30 years (guess what business I'm in?), and agree that it won't leave residue! BUT... Gaffers Tape is a temporary application tape: secure the cables to the floor, and pull it up a day later. If you leave it out in the sun for any length of time it will look exactly like duct tape, and sometimes worse.

Been there done that with removing gaffers tape which was left on A/V cables which where left in extreme heat in vehicles after a shoot for only days at a time. It sticks together and makes quite the mess on the cables. But when used properly for the short time of a shoot it IS the bomb!
Honestly ANY tape which does not leave a residue after a long soak in outdoors will most likely NOT stick for long.
Even blue and green "painters" tape which has just enough sticky to hold for a couple of hrs of painting. If left on overnight on walls and trim will start to leave residue and heaven forbid if you leave it on outdoors longer than needed for painting it gets even worse.
Perhaps it would be better to tarp your RV until you can fix the holes properly? Then you wouldn't be dealing with the tape residue mess left behind.
