Peeling back edpm roof for repair

Here is my issue. I bought a TH 4 years ago and had to do some repair/ sealing of the front right roof edge by the ladder. There was a slight soft spot but i cleaned it good and used dicor on it. I checked it off and on the first year but have been traveling a lot and have not used it in 3 years. I checked it last week and the dicor is not sticking anymore and it has been leaking to the point that I must replace the decking in that corner. Is it possible to peel that portion of the roof back, replace the wood, lay the roofing back down and seal it? I do t know if they glue the roofs down to the wood or not.

    Had same problem around skylight in bath a few years ago. Peeled back roof and removed skylight and replaced bad wood and truss. Reglued membrane and re installed skylight. No more problems with roof. Just saw post or would have posted sooner. BE sure to use EPDM glue.

    Project is completed. I will post a video (first time trying to video a project like this) as soon as it is uploaded to YouTube.

    One interesting things was when I ordered the TPO from best materials.com it came with a block underside. It is also thicker which may be the reason.

    You have TPO. EPDM has black backing, TPO is white. I agree there will be residue glue on fabric. You can order rolls of repair fabric online. Cut, and paste new is your best option.

    An idea is to around to your local camper repair facilities in your area and see if they have some scrap pieces from a job. Peel back what you have to and make a straight cut all the way acros, gonna have to take trim off, and after installing with glue run a piece of eternabond all the way across.

    TPO feels like plastic to the touch, EPDM feels like Rubber. Scrape your nail on the roof and that should help you tell the difference. Real smooth would be TPO. Also your photo looks like Fleeceback membrane. The fleece is adhered to either the TPO or EPDM from the factory. I highly doubt there is any camper manufactures out there using this product. The roofing ply should be adhered directly to the wood sheathing.

    According to the video I would have TPO I think. It appears thet there is a fiber material that goes down first and then the rubber?

    I do not recommend peeling and re-installing. When you peel the membrane back if it was glued proper from factory there will be residue on the backside of the membrane. When you try to re-glue you won't get proper adhesion.

    I have to get the old roof peeled back and the wood replaced. I dont really want to tackle the entire roof if i can avoid it. Did you pull your old roof off or just coat over it with this product?
