forget solar for load supporting an inverter - it's there solely to restore your batteries, not to power anything directly.
Yes I assume on solar if I draw say 300 watts out of invertor say with 2 tv's a box fan and chargers for I phones, ( and that would be a lot) then,
Thats 2.5 amps on the a/c side
On the batt side thats 25 amps. 300/12..
If the draw reduces my batts to 12.9 volts my solar charge mppt kicks into bulk mode. So if its sunny out I can crank in up to 20 amps in. so say 15 amps on avg. Then I will only be using 10 ah from batts.
That means with my 220 AH batts I can go 11 hours to 50% soc.
This would be mainly for nightime as during the day we are hiking, seeing the sites, etc and only are at the camper for breafast, lunch and dinner.
I should have 100% charged batterys by dinner if sunny.
I carry a residential 37 volt panel and a 20 amp mppt controller.
