Quad step upgrade

My wife has bad knees and it is becoming difficult for her to navigate the 9" rise triple steps. It looks like there are several quad steps available that would bolt into the current outriggers on my Wildwood.

Can anyone recommend a good brand that is sturdy? I see that some users complain about the flexibility of their steps.

Thanks
  • I had them on my last RV and loved them. I don't need them on my current RV because it already has 4 steps. The Quadra Steps rise are only 7 inches versus a typical 9 inch rise. I'm not sure what type of RV you have but I have a fifth wheel and also modified the steps to the bedroom to have a lower rise. These mods make a big difference on my knees.
  • About two months ago I replaced our three step unit with a quad step and am happy I spent the money. I think the brand was Stromberg, but not sure and the trailer is at the storage lot. Changing them was simple, loosened the 4 bolts, put my floor jack under it with a board wider than the steps , then removed the bolts and lowered it, took the old one off, put the quad on the jack and board, then raised it, lined the bolts and finished the job. Maybe took 30 minutes. Now need to sell the old 3 step unit so it's off the garage floor.
