Well... some say you can use a stud finder but I find that "hit and miss". The way I do it is to use a drywall type screw, if it will not go in, I've found the metal stud. Just do it where the cabinet will cover the holes.
As for toggles, they require a big hole and if there's Styrofoam in the wall, they may not "flip" open at all. Also you can't take the cabinet back down without them falling down in the wall.
My advice is to use the ones I posted a picture of for the above reasons and limit the amount of them. Remember,,, every time you put in a screw or wall anchor, you risk hitting a wire. Use just enough to hold it up and no more.
