rails on steps
has anyone seen or built rails on the steps of a 5th. this would be on the front side of the steps.

Sounds like you are looking for handrails. If so, it would have to fold down for traveling, like your grab bar.
I wanted to mount a second grab bar on my old Cougar but there was no suitable support for it, however my new Cougar has a hydraulic door "closer" which keeps the open door at 90 degrees, which eliminates the need for a second grab bar. Maybe you could retrofit something similar.
