"Hard" Roof? Fiberglass? Probably. And...FWIW, I think you're better off with that than a rubber roof. My OPINION.
Yeah...a heavy downpour will produce noise. Especially while trying to sleep in bed. Like 1000 little gnomes with little hammers up there.
