Rain, Rain, Rain

The weather changes so quickly, I'd wait and check the weather late today and I'd go unless it was gonna be a 100% rain-out every day.

Went to Fisherman's Memorial Park in RI - rain and cold wind (back in April)

Went to Salisbury Beach in MA - heavy winds, rain and very cold (Memorial day weekend)


Went anyways - had a good time just relaxing and of course a bad day camping is better than a good day working... :)

Believe me they are clueless in the Mid-West also.

We're thinking of heading to the cape on Sunday for a few nights but they're saying rain for Monday & Tuesday. Not a fan of camping with 2 wet dogs for any extended period of time. Luckily we can wait until Sunday to decide. Agnes

If it's 80% we cancel. 30% or less we go.

I'd never cancel a planned trip due to rain. That's why they created raincoats to set up the trailer in, etc. Now, if it's going to be actively snowing, then yes.

We were going for a 3 day weekend this Thursday, but decided to cancel and wait till next week. Local weather is calling for rain starting Thurs afternoon and on and off showers right through the weekend.

We only have a small 17ft TT , and it gets cramped very quickly when we're stuck inside for 2-3 days lol.

Seems like every time we go camping, it rains at least one day. If we are in drought conditions, all I have to do is hook up the TT and here comes the rain. It's just like when I wash my truck. LOL. Well, not every time. LOL. If it rains when we are camping, we lounge around the TT, maybe throw a movie in the DVD player. Stretch out and relax (Hey, that's why we go camping for anyways), or if it's not a heavy rain, I'll sit under the awning and read a book or tinker with something. We also use rainy days to do any exploring the local area. Seems like when the rain comes, most folks hold up inside and many thing are not as crowded as they would be on a nice day.
