Replacement of window

I have a window that needs to be replaced and haven't really found anything promising on Google searches. Anyone have a link to a vendor.
The window is approximately 54 wide x 24 high, small fixed on each end with three jealousy panes in the center section. The mechanism that opens the jealous sections, one broke and frame and all fell out, and a second one is broke but still hanging in there.

  • Jalousie windows leak a huge amount of air, even single pane regular windows are a big improvement over jalousies. Unless doing a historical restoration, get rid of the jalousies.
  • Darn, I think I have something similar in storage. I pulled those jalousies out.

I really can't begin to explain the advantages of having dual pane windows. You have to sit inside to *not* hear the sound level difference. If you lose another window (god forbid), I would look long at replacing it with a thermal pane window.
  • I had a window much like the OP describes. It fell apart just like he describes. It was in a bedroom wall and opposite it on the other wall was one just like it except it was for emergency egress so instead of louvers, it had regular glass. Miracle of miracles, I found an exact match on eBay in the regular glass version. It cost less than $100 including shipping and was WAY cheaper than a new one which would have to have been specially made. Be sure and check eBay.
  • Been several months but I wound up purchasing new from window manufacturer. Not cheap but I got original style and color and installation was pretty easy.

After posting this I found a RV salvage yard here in Phoenix, I am going to try to get down there tomorrow afternoon. If that is a dead end then I will follow up with some of the above.
    Thanks..all suggestions are appreciated.

If you find it's a good MH salvage yard with lots of good stuff, let us know.

I need more than glass, parts of two of the jealousy windows are broke/and or missing.

  • How about Easy Windows they will make what you want or may have one in stock. Atwood makes a lot of RV windows for the RV industry.

Give them a call the Reps are very helpful.
