Replacement RV furniture

Has any body ever ordered replacement rv furniture on line ? How was the experience ? My main concern is the described size. Was it what the description said it was? I think if it was an inch or two larger than the description said it was then the slides would not come in. Plus it would be a pain to return it.....Finding something local would be better if that was an option...

  • Getting them in is not the problem finding furniture that fit the tight spaces...

Our fifth wheel is smaller than yours, and we have two lazy boys that fit with no issues, and have room for a table in between them.

Every coach we have had, from a 27' Class A, to a 25' fifth wheel, we have replaced whatever sofas or chairs were in there, with Lazy Boys, so I don't understand where your statement is coming from.

I only have 33" from my slide facias to the back wall of my 5th wheel....the recliners that came with the rv were just shy of 33" when turned sideways so the slide would close. They have already ripped the facia off one time...

Your slides are not as deep as ours, so, I can just push the chairs back against the wall to bring the slide in.
I just measured ours, side to side, and mine is 30 1/2"... DH's is 32 1/2" measured from the widest part, sideways. DH is 6'1", 230lbs, and his lazy boy is bigger than mine.

Might be beneficial to stop by a Lazy Boy store, and find a comfy one, and do some measuring. The backs of the chairs come off, so they fit through the door easily.

  • RV furniture is expensive and mostly uncomfortable. Why not look at your local furniture stores for something? A lot of couches come apart with just a few bolts removed. I've got a couch that must be 12 feet long. We took it apart into 4 pieces and put it back together in the RV and then bolted it to the floor.

  • we bought some nice recliners at Menards (like Lowes) they fit nice and were comfortable. sold the TT and put the couch back in and now we use the recliners in the house.

I'm interested in the responses to this as well.

  • How about Lay Z Boy galleries. Don't know how one would return a piece of furniture and it certainly would not be free. Most warranties will inspect the item after it is returned to the factory prepaid!
