My OE bed was a King so no mod. I simply cut two holes on the bed platform for the air tubes to go to under the bed platform where I placed the compressor. The top of the bed platform has a felt type of material on it so the bed stays put.
I caved in to the wife on buying the SleepNumber just to pacify her. To be honest my back DID feel much better with the SN. Will not go back to a standard bed.
We thought we would have wanted the one with the thickest topper and most $$$. NOPE we chose the next level down as it had the same air chamber system and simply felt the best to us.
Expensive but WELL worth it.
