Replacing the kitchen faucet - anyone done that?

I would like to replace the kitchen faucet on our 2015 Laredo. I really don't like the cheap feeling faucet that's there. I would like to switch to a standard Delta or Moen faucet. There are no shut-offs currently so I assume I can just connect directly to the PEX tubing. Has anyone else done that?

  • I had someone change out the kitchen.
    I changed out the bathroom.

  • Probably more than a hundred of us. Very common swap. Usually a straight switch sometimes you will need two brass adapters which you can get at the same place you get the faucet.
  • One of the first mods I do with new RV......change out kitchen and bathroom sink faucets to good quality residential ones

I didn't add shut offs cause new faucet supply line fittings connected right up with old fittings.

But I did add a shutoff valve to toilet when I worked on it :B
  • I did one once. It was incredibly difficult because the footprint of the original was quite small. The replacement had a bigger footprint under the counter, and would not fit. I had to get about two square inches of 3/4 plywood out of the way. Using my cordless drill and mirrors I was able to drill a series of pilot holes into the excess wood and chip it out. I was dealing in very tight confines inside a truck camper, and having a bigger space to work in would make the job easy.

Use your digital camera on close up to take pictures from all kinds of angles before you remove the old one so you can be sure the new one will fit.
  • I did mine that way but on second thought I would have put cut off valves on the hot and cold lines.
