Here are my easy mods:
1. I have a round porthole window in my back door. Originally, it came with a snap-on cloth cover, but it was worn and rather bland (beige). So, I got some colored window film, cut it to size, and then cut a smiley face into it. I got the opaque film so it wasn't see through. Now, I can peep out the eyehole but no one can easily (or inobtrusively) see in. I did it for the oval porthole windows on either side of the cab also (but I haven't decided on a cut out design yet).
2. I got a surge protector strip and plugged it in to the outlet below the dinette table. Then I attached it to the wall just above the table when it's in the "bed" position. I picked up 3 "invisible book shelves" (just simple L shaped white metal brackets) and attached one on either side of the window over the table and the third below the window and above the table. Then I took a 3-piece inexpensive computer speaker set, placed the bass on the floor under the table, and the small speakers on the top two shelves (used double-sided tape to attach them to the shelves). Then I took a small docking station for my mp3 player and attached it to the lower shelf. Plugged in the speakers and the docking station to the strip. Now, if I have shore power, I plug the strip into the outlet and have music plus extra outlets. If I am on battery power, I can plug the strip into a cigarette lighter outlet and run off the house battery OR plug it into a portable power pack. Add my docking station remote and I have music at my fingertips wherever I am, and still have a free outlet. (Oh, and I can play my music over 4 days without denting my house battery.)
3. I picked up an inexpensive cloth laundry bag with a metal rim and hook. It zips down the back. You can unzip and dump laundry right into the wash, and by sliding the metal rim out, you can toss it in the laundry also. I hang this in the shower stall on a high placed hook. Works great to keep dirty laundry out of the way, can be moved out if using the shower and then put back, and when I get home, I just grab it and toss everything (it included) into the wash. With the metal trim holding it open, I can easily dump clothing, etc. with just one hand.
