Take your awning rod and re-bend the hook end so it's about 5 to 6 inches long. Now go to the rear of the rolled up awning, put the hook in the hole in the awning roll. The loop at the end of the awning rod will now be next to the awning leg. Take a length of rope run it through the awning rod loop and then through the hole in the awning leg foot. Tie the rope ends together you now have the awning roll locked. total cost price of the rope.
