A lot of us have painted their roofs with a high quality elastomeric used to coat mobile homes. Works on metal and fiberglass and is easy to apply - once cured it seems to be very resistant to chalking and can be redone every couple of years at a low cost. A 5 gallon bucket cost me $135 and gave me 5 coats on a 38'.
