man those flow thru sensors really stick out !
they almost look more broad or wider as my thread on "cap" style....if they are bigger than the cap sensors i don't think id be able to get them my wheels.
Question for Richard (93Cobra2771)....how long have you had those flow thru's & how many times have you had to add air to the tires since you bought them ?
My experience is that i might remove my cap style once or twice every 12-15 months (to add air or change batteries)....now that i have the system i don't need to use a conventional tire gauge to check the pressures (i just turn the monitor on)...so I'm really touching the valve stems (and the sensors) far less than i ever was before i had the system.
I've had them for a bit over a year now. I've added air two times, I think. It is slow air filling, but last time I added air it was maybe 3# for each tire. No big deal. If I needed to add a lot of air, I'd take them off prior to adding air.
These are far easier to take off than the non flow throughs were. Non flow throughs had a small wrench that accesses the back of the sensor. Flo throughs have a small set screw (you can see it in the pic) on the back of the sensor that clamps down on the valve stem itself.
They do stick out a bit, enough that I can see them in my rear view mirror if I look close enough. I'll try to remember to get a straight edge and a tape and see how far they actually stick out.
