ultimately the cap style sensors can be removed w/ a pair of needle nose pliers, but they're worthless by themselves & I'm not sure that the sensors are universal in nature....that is to say I'm not sure you can take 'em from one system and use 'em on another.
you'd be surprised at how many folks don't even know what they are. even my gear head friends ask "what are those things" when they see them on our Jeep JK tire stems.
