One other thing to note regarding repeaters/sensors - I had almost decided I needed to get a repeater when I realized that it had been a while since I had changed batteries in the sensors. Sure enough, the occasional sensor drop was from low battery strength, as opposed to being a repeater issue.
Of course, a repeater would also compensate for low batteries as the signal sent gets weaker and weaker. I do think having the option for a repeater is a good thing.
