Shower Handle

Has any one put a grab handle in a stand up shower ? My wife and i are not to sure footed any more and we get shake at times ! I have no idea what to use !
  • If I were you, I'd prep the area that you want to install a handle on, then superglue the brackets onto the shower wall.

This is almost the only way that I see to do the project.

    WoodGlue
  • If you are putting one in your house, make sure it is screwed into/mounted into solid wood (2 by 4) behind the wall. If it's not properly mounted, it could break loose when someone leans their full weight on it. This could result in a fall and injuries.

I don't know how one would install one in a MH or trailer. You'd have to make sure you have something solid to screw into.

You might want to get a hand held shower head and a shower bench to sit on, if you are unsteady on your feet in the shower. It would still be a good idea to have grab bars to hold on to.
  • I installed 2 suction cup based grab / assist handles in out fifth wheel's shower.
Wife is a little unstable and needs the extra help.
Attached to the glass panels rather than the flexible plastic enclosure.
They have been in more than two years and hold well.
Be sure to really clean the glass before installing.
