Single Handle Shower Faucet?

Here is what I did with mine. Replaced with a high quality single handle yacht faucet. The Phoenix tow knob unit that seems to be fitted to most RV showers would be laughable in a toy doll house. I don't know why people put up with it - you would never live with that in your home.

Sounds simple enough. I'm a plumbing idiot - have me replace just one washer and it'll take me seven hours and three trips to Home Depot. :S You wouldn't happen to have a pic would you?

Tee off the cold and hot input lines to the sink and run them to the valve. Add a wall valve next to the shower handle and attach you shower wand to this. Hmm, on one hand that makes sense, but wouldn't that mean you have a total less volume of "warm" water at your disposal?

RE: the faucet, my wet-bath is so small it has no sink or sink faucet.

To add ... When you say faucet, if you mean shower head ... I changed out my standard shower head with one of those Oxygenics heads and have been pretty happy with it. Feels like there's "less" water coming out but the water that does come out is at a higher pressure (sprays harder).

With the water heater on the "coldest" setting, the temperature is just perfect for showering with straight hot water for me. No messing with faucets.

I do need to replace my faucet, though, so I'll be watching this for ideas.

I did a post with pictures on the conversion that I did a while back in the DYI forum. The one-handled faucet that I found required a large circular hole but the diameter was just about the same measurement as the distance across the two holes for the original faucet, so the new faucet fit in the same place as the old with no problem. The only addition was the hole for the hose fitting which I put a couple of inches above the new faucet. I used shark bite fittings which made doing the plumbing easy. Maybe the 90 deg elbow type would work in the space you have.

I've got "some" room behind there, but not as much as the modder listed above. My current faucet with right up against an inside wall. I was searching for a 4" faucet, maybe that's just not possible and I'll have to put something more for the home in there.

Hmm, now that I see the backside all the workings are behind the wall. I don't think I have that much space, but I will check it out. There's gotta be a way. Thanks!
