LittleBill, if I were a rich man... I'd probably buy a brand new Class A Outlaw toy hauler. Instead of sitting on the roof, I'd sit out back. But that's 85k or more. (And actually, a 5th wheel makes more sense for me than a Class A, since I plan to be parked more than running down the highway.) So, after a lot of research, it made the most sense to buy the basic structure I wanted and renovate entirely. With the minute amount of square footage in this unit, I should be able to use nice materials and get exactly what I want for less than I'd pay for an inexpensive 5th Wheel.
pasusan, my plan is to put wood veneer floor and paneling throughout, kind of like this:
or this (bottom photo):
Then completely redo the bathroom (the 2003 Citation has a nice, big bathroom), in the spirit of this:
or this:
And put a Murphy bed (or similar compact unit) in the bedroom, like this:
...or this:
...make the rooftop an oasis, along these lines:
And utilize the wasted space under the stairs, something like this:
