- dons2346ExplorerI ran one, no problems
- donn0128Explorer IIWe bought a Webeco (Dometic) compressor refer that can be cooled down to zero. Runs on 120VAC or 12VDC. Works extremely well. I have it in the basement of our fiver plugged into both power sources. It automatically switches to 12 volts when we are on the road.

This is a low priority item for me but wanted to see what others might have done to solve the problem. What people have said about getting fridge cold before leaving is sufficient for us as well because so far we have only kept beverages in the fridge. What I would prefer if I did anything would be to replace the fridge with a freezer to keep more food and use an ice chest for beverages. I have seen people do the chest freezer in the basement but we don't have the room for that. May look at putting a chest freezer in the bed of the truck under my Bak-Flip cover.
- tenbearExplorerYears ago I tried running my refrig in a small TT off an inverter. The inverter would stop working after about 4 hours because the TT didn't have adequate wiring to keep the battery charged. I never did attempt to improve the wiring. YMMV.
- Triker33ExplorerDepends on the Freezer.
I have a 1.5 cu ft 120V only that will not run on my MSW Inverter.
It does on the generator.

RV fridge ?
That was 200~300 watt load, 18~25 amps from the battery to power the electric heater
Not the same thing - NaioExplorer IIFor my Edgestar freezer has a surprisingly huge startup load, which my current inverter cannot handle. (Surprising bec it is only 67 watts once it gets going.)
