Smart Tile Q- Furring Strip

Well, whaddayaknow ... I was going to finally tackle this upgrade today and I too have such a furring strip (did not know that is what it was called) but in the middle of the wall that I want to install it on. I too wondered what I should do and I was leaning towards butting up against it either side. I might still do that but I thought it was interesting that this thread popped up today. :)

Yes, I am. Thank you. I wasn't sure wether to remove it or just run the tiles up to the edge of it. It is not caulked, so hopefully it will come off easily.

I removed my strips and installed a stainess steel backsplash. Fit great.
