We have a 28' fifth wheel.
We don't do any dry camping.
I installed (2) Kyocera 135 watt panels in parallel on the left rear portion of the roof.
This was the best location without vents, A/C or other things taking up space.
Also shortest distance to running the cable to the charge controller and DC distribution panel.
Also installed a 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter.
Also have (4) group 24 batteries in a custom vented box.
The rig at home is parked in an east/west direction so gets strong sun in the afternoon.
Since the install, the rig is never plugged in at home unless I need the A/C and the batteries are fully charged.
In the summer I run the Fantastic Fans to exhaust the heat build up.
In case of a power failure we can stay in the rig.
We of course hope we never see one.
