Bear with me on my description ... but my interior door leading to the bathroom has a plastic molding around it. It is the type that has a "lip" all the way around it and covers about a 1/2 in perimeter of the entire door minus the bottom. All that being said I hit the molding/casing with my knee and snapped off a 3in. piece it. Does anyone know what this type of casing is actually called and where it can be purchased? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions for a viable replacement. PS it's only about an 1 1/2 wide.

After 10 seconds thought can the piece be duplicated with epoxy eg. Wood Epox?How about perusing the home stores. You may have to replace the entire trim all around the door.

Could you just glue the piece back on with a 2 part epoxy rather than replacing the whole trim?

You haven't provided any details at all about just which make / model / year of trailer you have but if it's a relatively recent model the most obvious solution would be to ask your selling dealer if he can get you an original replacement from the factory. If it's an older trailer or one from a manufacturer that is no longer in business you might get lucky and find something similar at McMaster-Carr.

I just had my trim off to install a magnetic door switch for my slide control switch.I noticed that it has become brittle with age.I was able to reuse mine, but I am positive that it is a generic part that most every trailer uses.I would think that it should be easy to get a new one. An air staple gun is the best way to install it.Call around and see what you can find. I have had very good luck with my manufacturer getting parts that I thought would be really expensive, but ended up being cheap.An RV parts supplier may have it as well.Good luck, and report back how it works out.

Already tried that the material is so thin that it didn't last too long. The door is narrow and I'm a big guy so I can see this happening semi frequently.

I feel for you the wife broke about 5" off the bottom of my bath room door trim.I took all the parts used Liquid Nails guled all parts so far so good.

Any help with links below If so, most any RV dealer should be able to get. Personally I would let your rv dealer order which one he thinks is best, because there are so many sizes and colors. You might get lucky and pull other side if you have one. Maybe skiu number or product number on inside to match up exactly what you need.
