- westendExplorerI've read some use a brass wool instead of steel wool so there isn't any rust.

What do you think the fittings for the flared copper pipe joints or the flare fittings themselves are made of --- GOLD :S
You're thinking too much;)

I should not post before coffee.:Z - Jerrybo66ExplorerI would think a generous application of just foam would be enough. We had some mice getting in the house from ???? and foam under the baseboard in the closet stopped them..

LOL I wish I could blame the coffee aspect for some of my more classic "BRAIN BURPS":B
Honestly I don't even think I would worry about using just plain ole steel wool since it would I think take EONS for any issues to show up from the dissimlar metal standpoint.
Larry - YC_1NomadEither one will work because it hurts their fillings when they bite it.:B
I like spray in foam and they make many flavors. - Carb_CleanerExplorerDis-similar metals in contact with one another require the presence of an electrolyte (water) to cause galvanic corrosion. If the hole isn't exposed to moisture, it'd be OK.
- shawdowbossExplorerActually, mice will "eat" through the brass or steel wool. I believe they actually tear it up and pull it out. Tried that trick once and still had the buggers getting to a spot I didn't want them. Found the remains of the steel wool all around it.
Tried foam once, but they just burrowed through.
The one item that kept them from doing anything was plain old LIQUID NAILS.
They quit coming in after I filled the hole with that. Never had any mice through any hole that's been filled with Liquid Nails. - Johno02ExplorerThat stuff tastes awful!
