Stinky Slinky storage

I have a 20 footer and keep in in a cardboard box in my basement compartment.

I've seen, Duct tape, bungee cords, large zip ties, large hose clamps....and and and...

There is a fellow who came up with a pretty neat idea, whereby he installed a rotating toilet bowl flange in the sewer hookup compartment, glued on an "el" underneath, with a 3ft 4" PVC pipe, into which he puts the "Stinky Slinky".
The hose stays permanently hooked up to the grey/black outlet, snaking down through the rotating flange, the El and the 3ft pipe. It is held in the pipe with an end cap when not in use.

I use extra large zip ties to fasten my PVC to the inside of the rear bumper. Has held great for several years. I also put a 45 elbow with screw cap to get my 20 foot hose in and out. One of my better mods IMHO

I've seen people who have attached a plastic fence post (Lowe's, Home Depot, cheap) to their bumper.

Thanks That has given me new ideas. What size PVC pipe did you use? How well did it go through the 45?

On our B+ I attached a 5'-4"x4" plastic fence post vertically to the ladder standoffs, the bottom sets on a sewer rubber gasket, with a hole in the cap so it can drain, we have a "bumper". The top cap is a tight fit with a piece of rubber cord as a keeper. The fence post is held on with 4 1" conduit straps with the screws into the post close to the corners so the screws don't interfere with the hose. I cap each end of a 10' length of sewer hose. Works great for the past 5 years.

Why is your Slinky Stinky? If you empty the filled black tank and then empty the filled grey tank you will end up with a Slinky with little or no odor. You can store a clean Slinky most anywhere! Not happy with just that? After you are done flushing your tanks, run fresh water through the Slinky and you literally have nothing left in the lines to give you any kind of an issue.

Valterra has a sewer hose carrier like in the photo and comes in different lengths. You may want to check how long your hoses are when compressed before you do anything. They all have different lengths when compressed and some don't compress at all. If you have a large enough storage compartment, you can always re-attach the hose ends and put them in the compartment.

Since it's finally sunny and decent out today, I'll be installing a Valterra hose carrier under our TT frame. FWIW, it looks like Valterra has bought the Dwincorp line of hose carriers. The Valterra carrier we just bought says Valterra on the exterior side of the door and Dwincorp on the rear. The Valterra carrier now has a hinged door which I like better than the old twist style.
