I tried my camera on the license plate mount and, as mentioned, the depth perception was terrible. Now the wireless camera is mounted high up inside the back window looking down about 45 degrees so the spare tire is at the near edge of the field of view. I can easily back up to within a few inches of a trailer, post or tree. The view extends far enough to keep an eye on the kayaks in the trailer behind.
No problems with the wireless signal in the small RV. I do wish for a second camera looking sideways as I have a blind spot when at an intersection at an angle.
It was a $100 special at Canadian Tire a few years ago.
