Surround Sound Question

Hello,
I have a question that I hope someone can help with. I just bought a new 2013 Laredo 308RL and am trying to figure out how (if possible)to connect the television to the stereo and have the surround sound (the television audio to play through the TT interior speakers) This TT came equipped with an 40" Sansui television and Estone stereo. A good friend has a different brand of trailer, and his came from the factory pre-wired for this setup, but with different brand of television and stereo, so I hope this is possible in mine.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you looked for audio outputs on your low quality TV?

Old man - why did you have to attack the man's TV? That is what he has to work with.

I can tell you this much - Sansui as a major electronics manufacturer has been around a long time and have produced some good stuff including some excellent radios, back in the day when you might have been a kid.

OP - I believe the ball is in your court. More information is needed before you can get any truly useful help.
  • You should be able to do this with a wireless FM modulator.
  • To connect the OEM TV and HT for surround sound you will need either an optical or coaxial audio cable & the corresponding input on the HT & output on the TV.

In my case the OEM TV lacks both types of output, so no surround sound for me ATM.
I did connect stereo L & R which sounds better than the OEM TV.

Don't you have manuals for both units.
TV needs an 'output' and stereo needs 'input'.
If you gave model numbers someone would probably look it up for you.

    x2

There are so much variety and large range of quality and features, we need model numbers to help.
  • If its like a lot of RV's you will have to run audio cables from the AUX side of the receiver to the TV and when you want surround on the TV turn on the audio receiver to AUX and you should be good to go(turn down your TV speakers). I have no idea why manufactures dont do it at the factory.
