Table leg retro fit

I have the crimped end pipe legs for my table and could never get a tight fit. What I did is buy a 2" galvanized threaded floor flange from my local Ace Hardware and a threaded adapter that will fit INSIDE the 2" pipe. Switch out the two floor mounts with the new flanges. Cut 1 3/4 inch off the bottom of one end of the pipe. Wrap the adapter fluted end with exactly 3 layers of duct tape and insert into the pipe. Screw them into the new flanges and BINGO!, a super tight sturdy table now. So you still have the upper portion were you can lift off the table, the unscrew the legs.
