I was told that I would have to get numbers of furnace and AC units to see if they would work with digital or if I would need to change parts in both units. Told me those parts could run like 5 to 600 bucks for each unit. I thought BULLS@$^ ! Do any of you know of anything like this in changing over to a digital ?
Can you tell us the brand and model of the AC unit, the furnace and what T stat you have now?
Many of the digitial T stats in the 17 to $25 range have dry contacts to do the switching. Once you sort out the wiring, they play well with the RV systems. I did the Hunter T stat upgrade several years ago on my Dometic AC and Hydrotherm (Atwood) furnace. Wally world was selling them for like $18 I think back then. They change brands every now and then for whichever ones they can get cheaper.
