"As we can see, T8 LEDs have a leg up in regards to lifespan, yet the fluorescent’s higher lumens per watts ratio equates to better light output Not to mention, they are a fraction of the price of LEDs. Even with their greater lifespan, you’d be hard-pressed to see any ROI on the T8 LED before it needs replacing – no matter how you crunch the numbers it just doesn’t work. Thus it seems, from a financial standpoint, changing to these LEDs simply doesn’t make sense at the current price point."
