- RVcircusExplorer IIWhen we restored our trailer last year I almost left the awning off thinking it would be more trouble than it's worth. I'm glad I reinstalled it and wouldn't have a trailer without one.
I'd agree with the others that mentioned eBay and Craigslist. - Bamaman11ExplorerThe electric powered awning on my new fifth wheel trailer is mounted so high that it doesn't provide the coverage of the manual operated awning on my old travel trailer. It's not even close.
- Chris_BryantExplorer IIBe aware that shipping on an awning will be substantial- I just paid $137 to ship one 40 miles.

Personally. I wouldn't have a RV without an awning. Ours goes out when we setup, and doesn't come down until we hookup to come home. Keeps all our good stuff dry.
+1. What Terry said.

plenty here in NC - ScottGNomadI hardly ever use mine either and frankly I wish it wasn't there. If I were in your shoes I would just get a nice portable awning.
- NMDriverExplorerI only use my awning once or twice a year for a couple of hours. I know others use theirs more, but think about where you will camp and what use you will have for the awning. Remember you generally will need to take it down when you are away from the RV and/or each evening and anytime wind is expected to gust. AT least that is what the wise camper here in NM's does. I saw a dust devil go through a RV park in Albuquerque one day and ruin 7-8 awnings before anyone could do anything about it even though they were in the RV.
- Dakota98ExplorerEbay is probably your best bet. You're likely to find a new one for near what a used one would cost.
