turned flip-sofa into a lounger

The flip sofa in our lil class C was uncomfortable as a sofa, was too narrow to sit sideways or lay down on, and had an ugly (to me) pink floral fabric. I removed the sofa, made a frame to hold half inch plywood, used the sofa foam with new batting and upholstery fabric. Bought a 24x24x10 foam wedge online, used the sofa back foam to make knee and lower back wedges, an arm rest and neck piece. Covered these with a fleece material. I looked at every fleece JoAnn fabric showed online and ended finding what I liked at Walmart!

Anyway, its very comfortable and roomy...love sitting in it to read. Only problem is it's so comfortable I keep falling asleep in it!

    REAL nice DIY!

You should make up a bunch of those and sell them at the CG's! You probably could retire on what you make from selling them to us weary RV travelers! :W:B

Thanks....and another plus is now I can get at all the stuff UNDER where the sofa was! Found the fresh water fill line had a crack in it, was able to run a wire from thermostat to cabover to put in a switch to turn on heat from bed, can access heater, back of converter and water pump now.
