My "warm white" 300 Lumen LED are very similar in color to old 18W incandescent. I would say - identical in both color and brightness. This was what I wanted (or so I thought).
Now I feel that work areas - including kitchen - could benefit from either blue-r K like Bright White, or more Lumens. There is no need getting used to dim rooms these days when such efficient LEDs are available. To think of it, the smallest "old type" bulb that people use in shore homes, is 40W (25W exist but few are using them unless in 6-lights fixture), and the smallest bedroom or hallway would have at least 2*40W :)
