- 93Cobra2771ExplorerHmm, might have to look at that as a future mod.
- TheFitRV_JamesExplorerX2 on what Dutch said on the 360 Siphon!
When I remodeled our class B, I replaced the rotating style vent covers with the 360 siphon. They work just as well, make no noise, have a lower profile, and have no moving parts to break or wear down. - Dutch_12078Explorer IIIAfter breaking a couple of the rotating style vents, I installed a "360 Siphon RV vent". It works just as advertised, and has no moving parts to break or squeak. The 360 vent is standard equipment on over a dozen RV models, including coaches from Airstream, Newell, and Pioneer. Costs about $30.

No, just quit using the chemicals before even installing one of those. If there are tank odors coming in then fix the tank venting problem and possibly get one of those.
No thanks, I don't have tank odors, and i'm not about to stop using chemicals. - ArticFox_676ExplorerYes they work. We have one on the black and grey water pipes on the roof. Before that I could smell the black tank after traveling. Not when stationary. So figured it wasn't venting.

In the comments, it seems that people that use these think they can throw away their toilet chemicals, foolish.

I don't have any odor problem, using just water and plenty of it. Don't know about the vent thingy as I never felt the need for one. Good luck with yours.

No, you still need the chemicals.
I've been using one for years and they work as advertised.
... and FWIW, I've been fulltime for 12 years now, stopped buying toilet chemicals back in '05 and don't have any problems with holding tank odors. It's all about good seals and water/tank management even during the heat of summer. - Tango__AE7UIExplorerNo, you still need the chemicals.
