We added a vacuum breaker (garden variety from Home Depot) to the vent line. Just make sure it lined up so air can go INTO the tank and water cannot flow out. Overflow when filling comes out the gravity fill port. On ours the loss of 1/3 of a tank was all from the vent tube, just followed the water down the side of MH after driving.
