Weber BBQ mod

I am finally getting around to documenting the mods on my trailer and since this one has come up a number of times I thought I would share it for anyone who is thinking of doing the same.

I have a Weber Q120 BBQ that I wanted to mod to use with the trailer propane port (see pic)

So I followed the following instructions from the net to do it

What I had:
- a Weber Q120 with the original thruway bottle regulator
- a 1/4" BBQ port on the trailer with shutoff

I ended up having to get the following:
- 10' gas hose 1/4" to connect to quick release with shutoff valve on trailer
- 1/4" shutoff valve with 1/4" quick release to go on the BBQ side of the hose
- 1/4" quick release for the BBQ to connect to hose
- 1/8" to 1/4" adapter to connect quick release to burner on BBQ
- roll of gas tape
I got the parts at Lowes and my RV dealer

You can also put a quick release on the old regulator so it can be reattached to the BBQ if necessary to run on a throw away bottle or also to attach an external 20# tank if you want the flexibility.
