My issue with a separate tank is one of storage and laziness. I'm running out of places to carry things (truck bed already carries a 6' ladder, EZUP, 1 bike, 2 scooters, some wood blocks, a fire pit grill, a ball hitch, and a bin of toys for the kids). The camper basement is pretty full.
And lazy- I really just want to uncoil a hose and plug in instead of pulling a grill and a propane tank and a hose out and connecting the tweo.
Maybe you just need to get your meals catered to your campsite...easier all-round.
Pulling out the small propane tank (20lb) and connecting to my BBQ takes me exactly less than one minute. And I just get it refilled when I get the other tanks filled.
