Hard to say why they failed so soon, check DC voltage output from converter to verify that it is within proper operating range. According to this website the Goldstar LEDs are rated for 60K hours and voltages higher than what most converters put out. Time to call retailer and get them replaced under warranty, hopefully it will be worth the hassle as they may fail again.
We did a full LED conversion 3 years ago and about 80% of LEDs used were purchased at Ebay from a seller recommended by someone here on the forum. To date none have failed and they have been used heavily. Our Iota IQ4 converter bulk charges at just over 14.8 VDC and our Ebay LEDs have held up fine at that charging level.
In fact, the only LEDs that have failed were those that I purchased here locally and from US retailers online. Of course they were many times the price of the Ebay LEDs, but I noticed they ran much warmer from the get go eventually leading to their early demise. Bought their replacements from the same Ebayer I had previously used and they are running noticeably cooler with no failures to report since.
