The M4 Products LEDs are regulated and we haven't had any problems. They do cost more than some others.
X2 for M4. Each "bulb" has its own dc to dc converter, as they should. Yes, they are expensive but they'll last a lot longer than those using resistors.
X3 on the M4 bulbs.
I replaced every single bulb in my TT with the M4's. They are all working flawlessly and the quality is topnotch. And their website service is outstanding.
I ordered a dozen to try them out and as soon as I put them in I ordered enough to replace all the rest.
I have been FT in my TT for 14 1/2 months now and I put them in I think it was about 3 - 4 months prior to going FT. I'm plugged into shore power most of the time so they are running on whatever voltage my converter puts out.
So they do get a lot of use every day.
Hard to say what caused your problem but perhaps it is a lower quality bulb that is the culprit. I paid more for the M4's than the ones on eBay but it is worth it to me to have trouble free service from them.
