Voltage spikes probably can damage leds, but I didn't think that touching led bulbs presented a problem.
Halogen bulbs are affected by oils from fingers because of the heat generated by the bulbs, but are led's sensitive too? I didn't think they generated that much heat. Maybe the newer brighter ones do.
It would be good to get a definitive answer to this, because more of us are using led bulbs these days. Anybody have a written article or something to verify the oil from fingers problem?
