Wow, those are some beefy cable recommendations. Personally I'd go with 8 gauge or maybe 6 gauge and call it a day. If you're worried about it, run two lengths of 6 gauge.
Also, I don't see much reason to mount the batteries next to each other. I'm in the process of setting up my new-to-me camper (Class C) and I'm leaving one battery under the side step, which is the stock system, and adding 3 more batteries where the generator was before I tore it out, in the rear. That's a separation of about 12 feet. I'm using a single length of marine 6 guage to connect the positive terminals (it goes outside under the chassis so I figured marine was a good choice), and a beefy ground strap to ground the new battery bank.
