Will it fit thru the door?

Question

We want to remove the fold-out hide-a-bed sofa from our fifth wheel and replace it with a smaller unit. We know those fold-out's are heavy as all get out, but will they fit thru the door?

I welcome any advice from folks who have done this.

Just put sofa in the open/flat position and you should be fine. Stand on edge and it should fit through the door.

Be sure and tie it together after you get it loose and folded.  Otherwise you might be in for a big problem about half-way out the door.

The back might lift off, like a lazy boy chair. Ours did.

the sleeper sofa in our TT, the back came off and it was easy to get out, look for a smaller one that the back comes off also. JMHOalso it was screwed to the floor with "L" brackets

Mine fit through with no problem.  I now have a recliner and looking for a second one to match.BTW. If putting in a recliner, get a wall hugger.
