Thanks. I tried that out today. I made it the full width inside the valance. It comes down to even with the bottom of the window frame. The shade is snug enough at the bottom that it holds the reflectix against the window frame bottom all the way across.
I am going to get stick some foam weatherstripping on the back side of the bottom bar of the shade, and maybe also on the window frame bottom, to really tighten up the sandwich. It might work.
