Help...Privacy Curtains
I just picked up a 3010 Class C Sunseeker and the privacy curtains that come with it are terrible. Two velcrox pieces to hold the entire curtain up. What are you all using instead? Thanks for all the help.

- Well....after the day/night shades broke for the third time I put up a designer tension shower rod that fits nicely into the window opening nice and tight and bought room darkening curtains from the Dollar Store! And then tinted my windows. IMHO they should come from the factory that way. :C

Are you sure you are doing it correctly? Our privacy curtain has 1 hook at each top corner and two pieces of velcro along each short side. The hooks attach to the cab just above the back of the cab windows. Then they get hung along the windshield and held in place by the vanity mirrors. The velcro is used to pull the curtain to the door so no one can look in the windows.
-Michael- Winnebago uses snaps. A single insulated curtain the full width of the RV, six snaps, three each side of the opening to the cab. Snap bases are screwed into the wall.
Velcro is inappropriate because the forces are in the wrong direction, but velcro, especially adhesive back, is a low cost solution. Don't have to pay someone to locate six snaps using a template, and screw each one in. Also, location of the velcro does not have to be exactly right, as is the case for snaps, so a few minutes more labor saved.
Snaps would be an easy retrofit, figure out where to put them on the curtain (installation is a press fit) then use the curtain to locate the bases. Doesn't need to be as precise as it does for mass production. robsouth wrote:

In a C? They separate the cab from the house, serve also to define an environmental space for heating and cooling.- I would think a 3010 class C would be light years ahead of a 2010 and have that problem resolved.
- We went to Walmart and purchased 2 insulated curtain panels. We used a closet bar attached just at the cabover bunk level on each side. You can also use a tension rod. Hung the curtains then cut to length. When traveling we push the curtain to the side but closes nicely when parked giving us complete privacy without effort. In the summer it is amazing the heat that is blocked from the living area and in the cooler months it keeps the living quarters much warmer.
- You could always pick ups some Adco covers which go on the outside. You can have them down and no one sees in in the day time. They also allow you to open the windows in the front to let air in if you want.
- Hi, We have a 2011 sunseeker and it has small round Velcro(dots as I would call them)attached to the cab (above the doors and visors) the privacy screen has mating Velcro across the top edge that match up to the (Dots). Actually one thing that work on it....

X 2. We have 2012 Sunseeker. Are you trying to put them just across to separate passenger from coach? Instead they cover the windshield and passenger windows. Check under visors and over passenger and driver windows?
