Liesure Travel Vans
I saw with interest the post asking folks with similar RV s to respond to the question how many of are there? I very seldom see anything about Liesure Travel Vans, specifically the Libero model which is on the Chevey chassis. Sink needs sealing
We have a 2019 Thor 24’ Class C motorhome that we just bought. It had previously been a rental from El Monte RV.. All is good mostly. The kitchen sink, however needs some work. It is stainless steel and an under counter type. There is a gap all around the sink where it meets the particle board counter top. There has been water getting in there and now the particle board is swelling up and making a bigger gap. I could just scrape it out a bit and cover the gap with silicone caulk. A better fix would be to remove the sink and abrade away the swollen particle board, replace the sink and then seal the gap. Has anyone had this issue and fixed it?2.5KViews0likes8Comments
Holiday Rambler Atlantis
Looking at a 31ft HR Atlantis on a E450 V10. After doing a search on the forum, I found very few hit to read for this model. Any of you have this rig? If so how do you like it? I did a few searches on the internet and came up with a few very low mile rigs for sale. Makes me wonder if they are a bear to drive creating the low miles. Tire Choices for Ford E-Series Cutaway Class C Motorhomes What replacement tires did you put on your Class C motorhome built on a Ford E-350 or E-450 (aka E-Superduty in older rigs) cutaway chassis, and what were your reasons for your tire selection? Did you stick with the stock tire size of LT225/75r16 ? Did you go taller and skinnier, changing to LT215/85r16 ? Did you go taller and wider, changing to LT235/85r16? Did you upgrade to 10 ply rating Load Range "E"? (If you have an older E-350 originally specified with 8 ply rated Load Range "D") Did you switch to European style 225/75r16C, such as what is specified for Euro van cutaways like the Transit and Sprinter? Have you had an experience with any particular brand and model of tire for your E-350/450 RV that caused you to swear "never again"? I'm new here, and curious. How many of us in Class C own Dodge B300 incomplete cab/chassis based RV's? I know two others- Steve aka Ripsaw, with a 1977 Brougham, and Leroy aka 1978_Dodge _Delta who owns a 440V8 powered sharp looking 1978 Delta RV. I would like to ask, and offer, help, idea swapping and comparing notes on our particular RV's which are based on the Dodge B300 van chassis. Yeah, I know. These are low tech, podgy old RV's that would be considered "entry level" for folks like me, but I have a deep and abiding respect for the quality of these old "monsters of the open road". And anyone wanting to pick brains, joke about, share notes or just brag about our old A- Dodge-io's are certainly welcome to PM or email me. Between all of us we can form a real good support group, and help each other with problems we know we'll encounter with an older vehicle. Sure. I'd love a new RV. But I'd rather have an older one already paid for, and a lotta great memories. Call me frugal, an old hippie, or whatever you will. I'm proud of my old land yacht. 24 feet versus 26' dilemma, have to decide fast
Hello! I'm a complete newbie to RVs. I'm buying a motorhome to travel the country for a year or two. I have no pets. (I had extensively traveled America and camped all over for 20 years without an RV and I love tent camping) I found that my favorite places (in National Forests and parks) allow 24 feet max motorhome max. Sometimes even the road to the place has this length limit (windy mountain roads). Upon viewing 24' units I feel tehre's too little space to fulltime in for 1-2 years. I guess I feel the fatigue from my extensive tent camping and all the tiny houses I stayed in, as I've been a full time traveler for quite a while 26' seems like a very good compromise size-wise (ideally I'd want a 31 but this won't get me into placdes) Gas mileage on those seems to be the same, prices too. The problem is the size limits. Do you think I can get away with 26' in 24' spaces? I see some indications people had been doing it but not sure if it's for real.16KViews0likes77Comments
Water system for 1999 Coachmen Santara
Crazy lady here who just bought a used 1999 Coachmen Santara and even with that 3-4 inch manual, I can't figure out how to use the water system. When I hooked up the hose to the city water inlet I followed the diagram on the compartment wall but the water just flowed out on the ground through 2 open drain pipes that are under rv about where the bed is. I couldn't find any shut off valves for them nor were they mentioned anywhere in the manual. Help!4.4KViews0likes9Comments
2017 Class C Electric fireplace issue
I have a 2017 Coachman Leprechaun. Two to 3 weeks ago I made sure everything was working before our 1000 mile trip up to Cape Cod Mass. Anyway everything worked fine even the electric fireplace insert. We get to our final destination and on the 2nd day its a little cool so we want to get the chill off. I try to turn on the fireplace and nothing. After some trouble shooting I find the issue with no power to the 120v outlet that powers the unit. I don't understand the wiring scheme its using. There is 1 Set of leads that is hot all the time going into a gang box. 1 set comes out of the box going to the outlet that powers the fireplace and another set leaves the box going to I don't know where. All 3 sets have the White wire connected together. The black common wire goes to this Relay. 1 Wire marked Common, the 2nd is on Normally Open contact the other is on normally closed contact. I can disconnect the power to the relay and the fireplace outlet works. I plug the relay back in and fireplace outlet don't work. Does anybody understand or know what is telling this relay to be on or off? What is the purpose of this relay. The way its wired if the relay is told to be on or off 1 set of leads is powered and the other is off. Gang box wiring1.1KViews0likes11Comments
