Pulling our Raptor with an F150 was a nightmare, and that was without a toy in it, and with all kinds of "extras" like anti-sway bars, airbags, upgraded tires, etc. Ours is almost 6900 completely dry, never weighed it loaded up but I'm sure it was at least 8000lbs with our stuff, propane tanks, and the built in Onan. We didn't get water until our destination.
It was fine with no wind, on a straight road. It also did fine on inclines, but the biggest issue was the wind, it was like a sail and pretty frightening... the tail was wagging the dog for sure. We gave up pretty quick and went to an F250 and it was smooth "sailing" from there. We only have the 350 DRW now in preparation for an upgrade to a 5th wheel.
