One dealer we went to stated we could tow most any 5W on his lot with our F250, "especially since it is a diesel." He obviously knew absolutely nothing about payload capacities or he would have kept his mouth shut. We checked, not one of his 5W had a loaded pin weight under 2K. Our payload is 1900 lbs. I'm pretty sure his only thought on the matter was the commission. Before you go into any dealer, know what your capacities are; with an F150, you can rule out at least 90% - 95% of the 5W on any lot.
