I would check the 12 V connections at the battery and at the converter.
When you are in the battery box it would be a good idea to remove the battery and take it to be tested.Most auto parts places test batteries free, CTC has testers, but the staff may not be the best at using the tester.
To check converter output you need a multi meter and know how to use it.
For about a week before the batteries in the Bigfoot said "We quit" the lights dimmed when we used the water pump. The first time I tightened the wing nuts on the battery connections and we were good, but 3 weeks later and the batteries were toast.
